ABOUT OFFERINGS

what is hypnosis

01

hypnosis is a process of guiding and holding your attention. a trance is the state of mind that results from that process — a state of absorbed attention in which the conscious mind quiets, the nervous system relaxes, and the subconscious mind becomes accessible.

how hypnotherapy works

02

hypnotherapy works through suggestion — ideas (suggestions) are presented to the mind, and the mind either accepts or rejects them. when a suggestion is accepted, we carry out the suggestion automatically. if it is rejected, nothing happens. a hypnotherapy session is then the process of offering suggestions and observing how the mind and body respond.

suggestions are delivered through use of language patterns, storytelling, metaphors, and guided imagery. to create a trance, suggestions are designed to distract the conscious mind and relax the body. to change behaviors, suggestions are tailored to reshape beliefs, emotional responses, and patterns that support who you want to become.

a suggestion will not be accepted if it conflicts with a person’s current beliefs, their lived experience, their sense of safety, their identity. the subconscious filters every idea through these criteria and anything that doesn’t fit is simply ignored.

it is the practitioner’s job to offer the right suggestions, in the right way so that acceptance is possible — but the power to change is entirely within the mind of the person themself.
